Kelly-Ann Woodland: STV Newsreader and Journalist
Early Life and Career
Kelly-Ann Woodland was born Kelly-Ann Bishop on November 5, 1981, in Scotland. She began her journalism career as a reporter for the Clydebank Post and Dumbarton Reporter newspapers.
STV News
Woodland joined STV News in 2007 as a reporter and became a newsreader in 2011. She co-presents the nightly news program, STV News at Six, alongside John MacKay.
Accomplishments and Recognition
- Won the Royal Television Society Scotland Young Journalist of the Year award in 2009
- Named one of Scotland's most inspiring women by The Herald newspaper in 2017
- Received an honorary doctorate from the University of the West of Scotland in 2019
Personal Life
Woodland is married to Scott Woodland and has two children. She is a patron of several charities, including the Scottish Association for Mental Health and the Children's Hospices Across Scotland.
