The New York Knicks have signed former Los Angeles Clippers center Moses Brown to a one-year contract, the team announced Tuesday.
Brown, 23, was drafted by the Celtics with the 44th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. He spent two seasons in Boston before being traded to the Clippers in 2021.
In 141 career NBA games, Brown has averaged 5.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game. He is a solid rebounder and defender, but he has struggled with consistency on the offensive end.
The Knicks are hoping that Brown can provide some depth behind starting center Mitchell Robinson. Robinson is a rising star, but he has been injury-prone in the past.
Brown is a low-risk, high-reward signing for the Knicks. He is a young player with potential, and he could be a valuable contributor if he can stay healthy.
